Zero no Tsukaima ~Princess no Rondo~
Synopsis:
Saito Hiraga, the poor unfortunate soul that found himself transported to another world as part of a spell casting test gone wrong. And Louise, the Tristain Academy of Magic student that miscast the spell and bound Saito to her as a familiar, are both back for a third season. Only this time, the magical seal that binds Saito to Louise as an obedient yet mouthy servant has started to fade for some unexplainable reason. Even with Saito's reassurance, Louise begins to question his loyalty if he will remain as her guardian or not, putting unneeded stress on this strange master/slave relationship.

Review:
Zero no Tsukaima was indeed a great show, interesting story set in a... dare I say, Harry Potter-esque world, and a colorful cast of characters that made watching it all that more enjoyable. Then the second season, Zero no Tsukaima - Futatsuki no Kishi came along and seemed to disappoint many but I thought it fleshed out things quite well and gave the series a more serious overtone and presented us with one of the most epic confessions ever between the two main characters, Louise and Saito, while they were on a boat... and no, not a nice boat. So, it was only expected that a third season would happen and fans of the series went wild when it was announced.
Zero no Tsukaima - Princess no Rondo brings us back to the Tristain Academy of Magic to see what became of Louise and Saito but unfortunately... you realize within the first episode that nothing has progressed even after a somewhat heart-warming yet ecchi induced ending of Futatsuki no Kishi. Princess no Rondo seems like it wants the viewer to forget what happened previously between Louise and Saito in season 2 and just go back to the first season of Zero no Tsukaima and re-live it's original roots that it planted and bring back that crazy comedy. Unfortunately, Zero no Tsukaima has matured and there really is no going back and instead of progressing the story and it's characters, Princess no Rondo only gives us characterization that just doesn't make sense at this point, comedic elements that seem wasted, and a non progressive storyline that *could* have worked better had they wanted it to. But instead we have an uninspired harem fueled series using our favorite characters to carry it through a practically non-existent plot that could have been so much more but instead wanted to play it safe by mimicking the first season in a failed attempt.
Is it good? No. Is it bad? No. If you liked the first two seasons you're going to watch it regardless but just don't go watching the series expecting too much because you'll be disappointed.
